collection n.2 is the second limited edition curated collection of prints from the object permanence series. it includes a set of 8 prints in a uniquely hand-stamped and painted box. the 4 squares that are painted within the box design are done with the same acrylic gouache used in the actual object permanence series. it is fun and also torturous. each set comes with a certificate which will be numbered and signed, as will the box. only 100 sets of this collection will be printed.

each print is a 1:1 reproduction of a polaroid photo, printed by a german company (how international) officially partnered with the polaroid company to make accurate prints. the white borders are textured and the image area is high gloss and slightly embossed. the backside of the prints even emulates a real polaroid if you’re into that. they feel really nice to touch and also look at.

why 8? well, when polaroid returned after bankruptcy as the impossible project in 2008, film packs changed from including 10 photos to just 8…for some reason. so naturally, i thought it only made sense to stick with that number for each collection since i want everyone else to feel the same pain as me.

important information:
collection n.2 will ship between 5/16/22-6/17/22 depending on your order number. each box is hand-stamped, signed, has uniquely painted squares on it and every single print is numbered by hand on the back as well. in total that makes 100 stampings, 200 signatures (including the certificates), 400 painted squares, and 800 numbered prints to do by myself! not to mention packaging, shipping, etc.

there will be a collection n.3 sometime later in 2022 and a book of all the pieces (with some essays) as well. most of the original pieces from this series are for sale, you can purchase them privately from me or there are some available through 13forest gallery. they are $250ea. you should email me if you want one. get in on the ground floor.
